Job Position Overview

The Dental Equipment Technician and Installation Specialist is responsible for assuring that equipment is fully operational to support dental offices throughout the installation, maintenance, and repair. Must be able to dismantle, adjustment, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and inspections: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of dental equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • Diagnosis and repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical failures in dental equipment.
  • Installation: Install new dental equipment (Chairs and Surgical LED Lights) and ensure it functions correctly.
  • Calibration: Calibrate dental equipment to ensure accurate results.
  • Advisory: Advise dentists or dental staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Inventory management: Manage inventory and order new equipment or parts when necessary.
  • Documentation: Document all maintenance and repair work for future reference.
  • Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations during equipment repairs and installations.
  • Stay updated: Stay informed about new dental equipment and technologies in the market.
  • Stay connected: Communicate and collaborate with other teams to complete job duties and assignments.
Skills & Qualification
  • Technical skills: Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to advise and train dental staff.
  • Attention to detail: Precision in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Physical stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Travel: Travel to other states.
